EarnedToday — Privacy Policy
Summary
EarnedToday runs entirely on your device. It stores your settings (hourly rate, location, schedule, savings goal) only in your browser using chrome.storage.sync. It does not create an account, does not connect to a server, and does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data.
What we store (locally only)
- Your hourly rate, work schedule, default view, and savings-goal entries.
- Your state and/or ZIP code — used on-device to look up tax rates. It is never sent anywhere.
- Your notification preference.
All of the above live in your browser profile and sync across your own signed-in devices via Chrome/Edge sync. They are not uploaded to any EarnedToday server (there is none).
What we do NOT do
- No analytics, no advertising identifiers, no tracking pixels.
- No network requests for your personal data — tax-rate tables are bundled inside the extension.
- No sale or sharing of personal information (we have none to share).
- No reading of your employer payroll, bank, or any other app.
Permissions, explained
- alarms — refreshes the toolbar badge every minute and resets at midnight.
- notifications — optional daily earnings summary you can turn off in Settings.
- storage — saves your settings locally (see above).
- sidePanel — opens the full workbench when you click the button.
Payments (future)
If optional premium features are added later, checkout is handled by a third-party merchant of record. The extension would then store only a license key locally and would not handle or store your payment details. Any such change will be reflected here and in the store listing before release.
